The preview PDF file is intended for viewing and printing only, not for editing. Your purchase includes access to all of our supported, fully editable file formats. To download your templates, go to My Account.
Licensing
StockLayouts designs are licensed royalty-free. What does this mean?
When you purchase a StockLayouts template, you pay a one-time, flat fee to use it as many times as you like for yourself or your client without incurring any additional fees. The StockLayouts End User License Agreement (EULA) gives you broad creative freedom to produce unique derivative works of your own.
The EULA also allows you to provide the customized templates to your client with the native files as long as they do not create new derivative works from them. Under the terms of the EULA, you may not post any of our products in their original form, or in a downloadable format, on the Internet, or an intranet.
Does your license allow multiple users from the same company to use the templates?
The StockLayouts Royalty-Free End User License Agreement allows a maximum of 5 persons within the same company to use the templates. If you wish to acquire additional multi-seat licenses, email an Account Manager or call us at 877-833-3305 for pricing information.
Can I put up your thumbnails on my website and offer to customize them for my customers?
The EULA does not permit you to display our templates online in their original form, even if the displayed template is not for sale or is not a downloadable, digital file. However, if you customize them for yourself or a client, you are permitted to display the derivative works on your website.
Layout and Design
What exactly is included with the purchase of a design template?
Inside the StockLayouts design template folder you will find: the editable layout file in your chosen application format; all supporting graphics; and a preview PDF (low resolution, non-editable preview of the complete layout). Fonts are not included
with the template; layout files are formatted using standard system fonts. For recommended font usage, view the preview PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and Select, File > Document Properties > Fonts. Remember, your purchase of a template includes online
access to that template in all the file formats we offer.

I couldn't find a design that fits my needs. What do you suggest?
Due to the great number of specific business types, there’s a good chance we won’t score a direct hit for everyone searching our library. Before you give up on us though, we do encourage you to ignore the templates’ business focus for a moment and search for a style you like. As the leading online provider of pre-designed templates for creating marketing materials, we're adding new, eye-catching designs to our library all the time. We suggest you put us in your Favorites and check back with us from time to time. We design our products to meet the needs of specific business types. How do I make sure my brochure doesn't look exactly like one that someone else has purchased?
StockLayouts designs are fully customizable. You have complete freedom to personalize your layout to create a unique marketing piece. It is not our intention to completely replace your individual style or that of your company. You will be surprised at how minor modifications will give your piece a unique look that will distinguish it from the original and from the work of others.
All your Graphic Design Templates are in U.S. page sizes. Can they be resized to other page sizes, such as A-4?
Yes. Simply change the dimensions of the page and adjust the design elements accordingly.
Do you provide customization and printing services?
No. If you want to have someone else customize your chosen design, we suggest you either locate a graphic designer or, if your changes to the template are not extensive, have your commercial printer’s graphics department take care of it.
Printing
For commercial printing, can I set up my layout in 2-color instead of 4-color?
Yes. With a little editing, you can produce a terrific looking design using two colors. To change the layout from 4-color CMYK to 2-color PMS, replace the colors in your layout application color palette with the spot colors you want to use. Photo image files will need to be converted to spot color as grayscale, monotone, or duotone - you will need a photo editing program like Adobe Photoshop to do this. Illustration EPS files will need to be changed to spot color to match the colors being used in your layout application — you will need an illustration editing program like Adobe Illustrator to do this. For more information about customizing design layouts, refer to your application software documentation.
When I view my template, some of the graphics look fuzzy. What's wrong?
StockLayouts templates may include JPG, TIF, PNG or EPS files. Some software applications use low-resolution previews to display graphics on the screen. But, provided your graphic files are properly linked, your layout will print high resolution.
How do I prepare my files for my commercial printing service provider?
StockLayouts design templates have been carefully produced to provide trouble-free print output. When you are ready to hand off your customized layout file, be sure to include the entire folder with all linked graphic files and don't forget the fonts. Your commercial printer will preflight the files prior to printing.
Are fonts included with your Graphic Design Templates?
Fonts are not included with the files. When opened on your computer, the template uses the standard system fonts that come with your operating system (Arial, New Times Roman for PC; Times and Helvetica for Mac). For recommended font usage, view the preview PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and Select, File > Document Properties > Fonts. If you need to locate and purchase a particular font, visit our comprehensive list of font providers.
Purchasing
Where can I get more information about the design before I purchase it?
To display a larger view of a layout, click on the thumbnail image. As well as a larger view, you will be shown pricing and purchasing options. To preview the complete layout, download the low resolution, printable preview PDF of the template. If you would like to share a design layout with an associate or client, simply click on "Email a friend about this design", or download and print the PDF.
I downloaded a template and can't open the file, what's wrong?
Our templates are compressed to speed up your download. Each template file is compressed as a SIT file for the Mac or a ZIP file for the PC. You will need to decompress the file before you can open and edit the layout in your application. Depending on your operating system, you may require Stuffit Expander for the Mac, WinZip for the PC, or compatible products, to decompress the template folder. Once the file is decompressed, it creates a folder with the layout file and graphic files inside. For more information about decompressing files, click here.
I previously purchased a design and have subsequently misplaced the file. Can I download another copy?
Yes. Visit your 'My Account' page on our website to download files in any format at any time.
I don’t like to purchase products online. Do you offer other ways in which I can order your product?
Yes. Call us to process the order over the phone or download and print a StockLayouts Order Form, fill it out, then fax or mail it in with your check or credit card information. We do require an e-mail address to process your order. If you have any questions, contact an Account Manager.
I downloaded my template in the wrong format. Can I download it again in the correct format?
Yes. Simply log into your account and re-download the template, selecting the correct format from the pull-down menu. You may download as many formats of the template as you like.
I previously purchased a template for desktop printing and have since decided to have it printed on a commercial press. Can I upgrade?
Yes. Contact an Account Manager and ask for an upgrade.
What is your return policy?
If you have any problems with a product or questions about your order, you are encouraged to contact an Account Manager. Customers are given several opportunities in the purchasing process to review their order and make corrections in order to avoid mistakes. Due to the digital nature of the product, returns are generally not accepted unless there is a technical problem with the layout files or content. In such cases, replacements or substitutions will be arranged through your Account Manager.
Customers are encouraged to download and examine the free sample template and download and view the PDF preview of the product until they are confident of what they want to purchase.
